Home Page Instructions
ITSC1110 • Introduction to Computer Science Principles
The main page of your UNC Charlotte webspace - the one at webpages.charlotte.edu/youruserid/ - is your personal home page. It's about YOU; the course site you'll build next is about the COURSE. Anyone landing on your address sees this page and nothing course-specific beyond one link.
Requirements
- Clearly YOUR page: the title and the h1 are personal - someone should know instantly they're not on the course site. No course codes in either.
- Exactly one link leads to your course site (the itsc1110 folder you'll build in the Course Site Instructions), with appropriate link text.
- Nothing shared with the course site: no images, stylesheets, or scripts borrowed from your itsc1110 folder - a different design for a different purpose.
- An embedded stylesheet does the styling. It's a single page, so there's no linked CSS file.
- Both validators on the page - Accumulus and the Vicunadator - and every Web Standard applies. Run the checker before you submit.
Submitting
Submit the address of your home page - without index.html on the end; the server loads it automatically. Canvas has the due date and the point value. From your home page we should be able to jump straight to your course site.
