This site is for classes D.I. von Briesen is teaching and serves as a resource for courses. Having these things here helps you see them out of the context of learning management systems and their associated restrictions.
This site is the current version. If an older handout, Google document, or LMS page disagrees with it, please let me know on the discussion board for your class as soon as possible - and earn extra credit.

Shared Standards
Two sets of rules apply across these courses. The Course Standards govern how you work in any course of mine, whatever the subject. The Web Standards govern what every page you build must contain, and they're what the Vicunadator checks. Everything under them - including the Introductions every course opens with - is listed on the Standards page.
When Things Happen
Module numbers on my assignments refer to week numbers, and the Schedule lists every week of 2026–27 with the breaks marked. Your LMS still owns the due dates.
Shared Tools
The standards self-check validator is at
tools/standards-check.js, with its rules in
standards/rules.json. Link that copy from your pages - don't duplicate it, because a copy goes stale the moment the standards
change.
