Annotated Introduction Example

This is one complete introduction entry with a callout under each part naming the formatting it demonstrates. Compare it against the instructions and the plain samples.

The centered row of links at the end of each entry - CLT Web, GitHub.io, GitHub, freeCodeCamp, Codecademy, LinkedIn - belongs to the web-development courses only: ITIS3135, WEB115, WEB215 and WEB250. In any other course, the entry ends with the quote and dividing horizontal line.

CLT Web does not apply to CPCC students. If you're in WEB115, WEB215, or WEB250, skip that one link and include the other five.

Start with a horizontal line (insert -> horizontal line in google docs) and a blank line (carriage return) just before your name as a heading 2.

von Briesen, D.I.

name as Heading 2 in the Google Doc - Last Name, First Name

I understand that this is a public document, and I won't put anything here I wouldn't want anyone to see.
- DIvB 5/20/2026

public acknowledgment sentence, then on the next line - or ~ then initials and date, in italics

D.I. von Briesen ~ Dapper Vicuña

large centered display name with adjective-animal - normal text in the doc, not a heading

I'm gonna type a personal statement here. Three sentences. Yo. That's a sentence. Bye! Also a sentence. Why is it SOOOO hard to get people to actually pay attention to formatting. It's like pulling teeth!

left-justified personal statement - at least 3 complete sentences

bulleted list - bold label before each colon

nested ordered (numbered) list, one level deeper - CRS### - Name: reason

optional bullets - include or remove entirely, never leave blank

“Perfection is the enemy of the good.”
~ Marc Schiller (at my first consulting gig)

quote on one line, attribution on the next starting with - or ~, no "Quote:" label, one blank line before

centered links line - CLT Web | GitHub.io | GitHub | freeCodeCamp | Codecademy | LinkedIn (CPCC students do not need the CLT Web link)

end with a blank line (carriage return) followed by a horizontal rule (insert -> horizontal line in google docs)
