Sample Introduction Entries

These are sample entries that follow the intro steps in sequence.

The centered row of links at the end of each entry - CLT Web, GitHub.io, GitHub, freeCodeCamp, Codecademy, LinkedIn - belongs to the web-development courses only: ITIS3135, WEB115, WEB215 and WEB250. In any other course, the entry ends with the quote.

CLT Web does not apply to CPCC students. If you're in WEB115, WEB215, or WEB250, skip that one link and include the other five. ITSC1110's Introduction Webpage skips the links section entirely.

A finished entry here should look exactly like it does in the shared Google Doc - the differences are only in the underlying code (a real <figure>/<figcaption> for the photo and caption, a real <blockquote> for the quote, CSS handling spacing instead of blank lines). The one exception: the Doc's horizontal-rule separators and its Table-of-Contents-linked heading only exist to organize the shared Doc - a page with one entry doesn't need either, so leave both out.

I understand that this is a public document, and I won't put anything here I wouldn't want anyone to see.

I'm gonna type a personal statement here. Three sentences. Yo. That's a sentence. Bye! Also a sentence. Why is it SOOOO hard to get people to actually pay attention to formatting. It's like pulling teeth!

I grew up in a bilingual household and enjoy helping classmates who are balancing work and school. I usually study in short focused sessions and keep a weekly checklist so I do not fall behind. This semester, I want to improve my confidence with technical writing and project planning.

I returned to school after several years in the workforce, so I bring a practical point of view to class discussions. I enjoy solving problems step by step and documenting what worked so I can repeat it later. My main goal this semester is to become faster at troubleshooting in group projects.

I like courses that mix creativity with technical structure because that balance keeps me motivated. I use a weekly calendar, checklists, and short review sessions to stay organized. This term, I want to improve my coding habits and become more comfortable giving peer feedback.
