Strict Grading Checklist
- Place your entry alphabetically by last name within the larger document.
- Use Heading 2 for your student name in this format: Last Name, First Name with an optional middle initial (and a period if including middle initial)
- Include a horizontal rule before your entry and at least one blank paragraph between that rule and your Heading 2 line.
- Include a public acknowledgment sentence that states the post is public and ends with your initials and date, preceded by a dash or tilde ( - or ~ ). Italicize initials and date.
- Add a centered display-name line in this form: First M. "Nickname" Last ~ Adjective Animal. Middle initial and nickname are optional.
- Add a centered photo with a centered italic caption directly below it.
- Write a left-aligned personal statement with at least 3 complete sentences.
- Use bullets for the required background labels and bold text before each colon.
- Under Courses I'm Taking, & Why:, include a nested numbered list formatted like CRS101 - Course Name: reason.
- Put the favorite quote on one line. Put attribution on the next line, starting with a dash or tilde ( - or ~ ).
- Leave exactly one blank line before the quote. Do not use multiple consecutive spaces in visible text.
- After each entry, include at least one blank line and a horizontal rule.
Part 1: Create And Link Your Profile
- Open the Introductions Google Doc from the course front page.
- Go to the main body and place your entry alphabetically by last name.
- Type your name as Last Name, First Name Middle Initial.
- Format that name line as Heading 2 and keep it left-aligned.
- Refresh the table of contents and test that the link jumps to your entry.
- Copy the URL of that Heading 2 entry to submit later in the assignment.
Part 2: Add Your Personal Information
- Leave one blank line after the horizontal rule, then write a short public-acknowledgment sentence as normal left-aligned text. End it with your initials and date, preceded by a dash or tilde ( - or ~ ), in italics.
- On a new line, add your display name in the form First M. "Nickname" Last ~ Adjective Animal, where the middle initial and nickname are optional.
- Add an adjective-animal mascot matching your initials, separated with a symbol like ~ or | or * (spaced on both sides).
- Make that entire display-name line large and centered, but do not make it a heading. Keep it as normal text and keep it on one line.
- Insert a centered photo of yourself and add a centered italic caption beneath it. If you object to including a photo of yourself, put another photo of your choosing with an appropriate caption. The caption should be as concise as possible and avoid obvious details, like "Me taking a selfie" as the "Me taking" is implied.
- Add your personal statement paragraph in normal body text.
Part 3: Add Background And Course Information
Use a bulleted list and make the text before each colon bold.
- Personal Background: Brief summary.
- Professional Background: Brief summary.

- Primary Work Computer (type, OS, and version): Manufacturer, device type, operating system, and version.
- Primary Work Location: Where you normally work.
- Alternate Computer & Location: What you would do if something didn't allow you to use your primary computer or location.

Common Errors: Avoid These Mistakes
- Do not alphabetize by first name.
- Do not make the big centered display name a heading.
- Do not center with spaces; use the alignment tools.
- Do not create a paragraph below a bullet when a line break is needed.
- Do not forget the nested numbered list for the course list.
- Do not type "Quote" or "Quote:" as a label before the quote.
- Do not underline anything except actual links.
- Do not use multiple consecutive spaces in visible text.
- Do not add extra blank lines beyond the allowed blank lines before the quote, after the quote attribution, and before the horizontal rule.
Web Classes: Additional Requirement For ITIS3135, WEB115, WEB215, And WEB250
For web technologies classes like ITIS3135, WEB115, WEB215, and WEB250, include the required links below the quotation. These links should be to your own pages and profiles, appear centered, and use dividers between each link.
For web classes, leave exactly one additional blank line after quote attribution before the centered links line.
Use this order: CLT Web | GitHub.io | GitHub | freeCodeCamp | Codecademy | LinkedIn.
Keep the link line centered without using spaces to fake alignment.
