Extra Credit: Your Own Domain (M17)
Have your own domain? Deploy your whole set of sites to it and earn extra credit. A domain, not a subdomain - yourname.com counts, yourname.github.io or yourname.wordpress.com does not.
How
- The easiest path: buy a domain (~$12 at GoDaddy, Namecheap, or a registrar of your choice) and attach it to your github.io account - your pages are already there, and updates keep flowing through the same repo.
- The GitHub Student Developer Pack offers free domains on select TLDs - but domain freebies are often not worth the headache (limited choices, or free-then-you-pay).
- A great, easy way to show off a resume or host a future project.
Submitting
- The URL of your personal page as it exists now.
- The URL of the same page on your own domain.
- Remember: a subdomain does not count.
- Peer reviews here also earn extra credit.
